Beautiful job for your first wolf! You did a great job with the fur and the shading as well as how you drew the eyes to proportion! not many people do that. I'm not sure if you used a reference or not but it look as though the paw is a tad too big, or not long enough. Though I don't really know what position the entire wolf is in. If the folds in his fur make up his shoulder then you may want to shade them a little bit more to show depth which would make it look less confusing when his entire body isn't showing. The muzzle could be a bit wider and the lines of his mouth could blend more into his face, making it a bit less of a "V" shape and more straight back with a slight angle. I love the expression too. hey this has got to be one of the better wolf sketches i've seen around. i like the somewhat gentle sad looking eyes. very good work on the texture and details. i can feel the thickness of the fur and the blade of the grass. keep it up!
